Andres Ramirez

Andres Ramirez has an extensive political and legislative background. He has held several positions of responsibility that have enabled him to gain expertise in legislative and political affairs.

He began his government career in Washington, DC serving as an aide to US Senator Harry Reid. Andres Ramirez later accepted a position as Information Manager to Governor Robert Miller in the State of Nevada Washington, DC office, and was soon promoted to Deputy Director. As Deputy Director, he coordinated several legislative briefings with the Nevada Congressional delegation and other key officials to implement strategies for successfully enacting policies that were beneficial to the State of Nevada. After the retirement of Governor Robert Miller, Ramirez was asked to join US Strategies Corp., a national lobbying and consulting firm, where he specialized in assisting local governments in understanding and utilizing the legislative process.

Andres Ramirez has worked on several local, state and national campaigns demonstrating his expertise in Field Operations. He has also been recruited to provide his expertise on developing Latino outreach strategies. In 1998 he served as the Field Director for Jan Jones’ gubernatorial campaign in Nevada. In 2000 he served as the Base Vote Director for the Colorado Democratic Party. In 2002 he served as the Field Director for Neighbor-2-Neighbor Nevada. Andres Ramirez is currently serving as the Nevada State Director of Voices for Working Families.

In addition to his professional service, Andres Ramirez dedicates much of time volunteering for non-profits and community service organizations. He has also conducted extensive research providing analysis of Hispanic demographics. Andres Ramirez has resided in Southern Nevada for over 12 years, and currently resides in North Las Vegas with his wife and daughter.
